Pastor Amos Hamilton with his wife, Mrs. Toni Hamilton, at his side, leads The Macedonia Church of God in Christ in beautiful Val Verde California. The Church is located approximately ten (10) minutes north west of Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Pastor and Mrs. Hamilton will have been married for thirty years (30) this June. They have two (2) sons, Amos III and Jonathan, 26 and 22 years of age, respectively.

Pastor Hamilton has been saved for thirty seven (37) years and preaching for thirty five (35): he is no novice. Less than two (2) years separate the time between his and Mrs. Hamilton's conversion.

Pastor Hamilton has served as pastor at Macedonia for ten (10) years. Although Macedonia is not a large church by any stretch of the imagination, membership wise, all that one needs to develop a meaningful, rich relation with The Lord can be found there. The preaching and teaching of God's word goes forth, weekly, in power and is confirmed with signs: souls are saved, delivered and are walking in the power of the new creation being.

Pastor Hamilton's radio ministry spans a period of seventeen (17) years. He has also preached on street corners, jails and has held revivals and crusades throughout the Los Angeles area in churches, auditoriums and even The Los Angeles Convention Center.

These ministries continue. They are now a part of Macedonia's many outreach ministries.

Although Pastor Hamilton is a relatively young man himself, he has an overwhelming interest in young ministers and missionaries and their development. He has developed a special training program which he requires new ministers and aspiring missionaries at Macedonia to go through before he will recognize their professed call.

Participants in the program are introduced to just what the ministry is, the types of sermons and how to construct them. They are trained in the necessity of and how to keep their spirits and physical being finely tuned so that they can efficiently and effectively minister.

They are taught how to build a reference library to aid them in their study and sermon or lesson preparation. One of the high points of the training program is Pastor Hamilton sharing with his students the history of the Church of God in Christ, which he loves so dearly.

After the training each student must write four (4) sermons, one on each subject: The Church, Salvation, The Baptism of The Holy Ghost and Sanctification. Each student must present one of these sermons before the church. Pastor Hamilton reviews all written sermons to ensure that they are homiletic and doctrinally correct.

Pastor Hamilton is now a full time pastor. However, prior to him becoming full time, he worked in private industry for one company for twenty seven (27) years, Seventeen of which he supervised in one of his employer's tooling shops.

He earned a bachelors of arts degree in business administration at the University of Laverne; and also a certificate in supervision at Los Angeles Mission College. In addition he has studied in depth many other subjects: business management, computer repair and photography, to name a few.

Pastor Hamilton's innovative thinking along with the use of much of today's technology, especially in the area of communications, keeps Macedonia on the cutting edge of effective ministry. His leadership style makes people feel comfortable and at ease working with him. He is a true pastor.
